Sensory Friendly Halloween Party and Vaccine Clinic

October 27, 2023 @ 4:30 pm 7:00 pm

Free

Ages:

All Ages

Halloween Party: Kids can come in costume and explore the Children’s Museum. There will be Trick-or-treat stations around the museum so kids can practice their trick or treating. The museum will have fun photo opportunities around the museum and a Halloween craft for participants. Please RSVP below for the Halloween Party by October 25th.

Vaccine Clinic: The flu vaccine and other routine vaccinations will be available to participants (Covid vaccine is TBD). Registration ahead of time is strongly encouraged to secure a time slot. Vaccines can be given to guests ages 5 and up, including parents, siblings, etc. This vaccine clinic is NOT just for individuals with extra sensory needs. Each person who wants to receive a vaccine registers individually for a ten-minute session (vaccinators can take families as a group at the museum, but they must register separately). If you have insurance, the registration form will ask for that information, but the vaccines are free to everyone (insured and uninsured, children and adults). Please register for the vaccine clinic by October 25th. Click here for the vaccine clinic registration form.

All vaccinators will receive training from the Autism Society staff on how to be accommodating to those with Autism and other sensory needs. Tool kits with visual supports, sensory supports, and fidget toys are available for participants as well free of charge.
