Autism 101 for Extended Family Members

December 16 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm

Free

Tune in to this special edition of Autism 101! This workshop will be directed towards extended family members of individuals with Autism. It will give participants a better understanding of what Autism is and how it might affect individuals in their everyday lives. This workshop will also cover how extended family members (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) can support their loved ones who have Autism, and those who are raising a child with Autism.

Participants will hear firsthand from parents about what they wish extended family members understood about their lives. They will also learn strategies to support their family and connect with their loved ones with Autism.

Please note that this Autism 101 is strictly for family members of children with an Autism diagnosis. If you are an Autistic adult, service provider, or community member interested in learning about Autism please sign up for our newsletter or contact our office to see when the next Autism 101 for your demographic will be held.

This workshop will be held via Zoom. Registration opens two months before the event. Please RSVP below by Thursday, December 12th and the Zoom link will be emailed to you the day before the event.
