We are pleased to offer two college scholarships: one for individuals pursuing a degree to serve those on the Autism Spectrum, and one for an individual who is on the Autism Spectrum – going to college.
The application deadline for both scholarships is June 2, 2017.
All applicants will receive a reply within 30 days as to the status of their request.
Award payments will be issued directly to the institution.


Kadane Foundation Scholarship ($500)

– For Individuals Pursuing a Degree of Study to Serve Those on Autism Spectrum

Criteria and Process

The student must be enrolled in a degree program to serve those with autism-related challenges and must reside in our service area (counties: Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Richland, Rock and Sauk).

Jacob Trotter Memorial Scholarship ($500)

– For Individuals on the Autism Spectrum

This scholarship is named for Jacob Trotter, a Madison area teenager on the spectrum who had a focused interest in military history – specifically, the Civil War, and World War 1.  Jacob left remarkable imprints on his family, friends and community – and he continues to do so through this scholarship in his honor.

Criteria and Process

The student must have a medical or educational diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and must be admitted to an accredited, post-secondary educational or vocational program of study (college, trade program, etc.). Applicant must reside in our service area (counties: Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Richland, Rock and Sauk).
