Madison Area Community Land Trust (MACLT) is a nonprofit organization committed to providing affordable and sustainable homeownership opportunities for low-income families in Dane County. Through their innovative land trust model, MACLT helps individuals and families purchase homes at below-market rates, ensuring long-term affordability.
Within three decades, MACLT has built a portfolio of 62 permanently affordable homes, including two condo associations and single-family homes. MACLT's mission is to preserve affordable housing, support community development, and create stable neighborhoods where everyone has the chance to thrive. MACLT’s resale restrictions ensure that these homes remain affordable for future generations, playing a vital role in addressing the housing crisis and fostering inclusive, vibrant communities.
