These short-term programs are intended to provide services to individuals with intellectual disabilities that are otherwise unavailable in the community. Individuals return to the community when their needs can be met at the local level.

CWC: Medical Short-Term Care Unit
The Medical Short-Term Care Unit (MSTCU) is a 10-bed unit. Admissions include post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic evaluations, and referrals for nutrition or other medical evaluation or assessment.
CWC: Developmental Evaluation Clinic
The Developmental Evaluation Clinic (DEC) is part of the Medical Short-Term Care Unit. It offers a five-day comprehensive evaluation service for individuals who are demonstrating memory concerns or a regression of skills.
CWC: Intensive Treatment Program
Central Wisconsin Center's Intensive Treatment Program serves people ages 5 and older with an intellectual disability and co-occurring mental health or behavior disorder.
Staff provide behavioral and psychiatric evaluation and treatment, educational services, medical services, therapeutic recreation, and vocational programming.
An individualized treatment plan is developed for each client. The goal is to help the client develop skills to live in their community with as much independence as possible.
