We are pleased to offer a college scholarship for an individual who is on the Autism Spectrum – going to college. The application deadline is April 15, 2020. Applicants will receive a reply after the scholarship winner is announced on June 1, 2020. Scholarship payment will be issued directly to the institution.

For Individuals on the Autism Spectrum
This scholarship is named for Jacob Trotter, a Madison area teenager on the spectrum who had a focused interest in military history – specifically, the Civil War, and World War 1. Jacob left remarkable imprints on his family, friends and community – and he continues to do so through this scholarship in his honor.
Applicant must reside in our service area (Counties: Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Richland, Rock and Sauk)
Applicant should have a medical or educational diagnosis that falls within the autism spectrum (e.g. ASD, PDD-NOS, Asperger’s, etc.)
Priority will be given to current members of the autism society but membership is not required to apply
This scholarship is for any accredited post-secondary education or vocational training (college, trade program, etc.)
Payment will be made directly to the school or program upon admission
Print and complete the Scholarship Application Form
Send the application form (cover sheet), transcript (most recent high school or college), two letters of recommendation, and an essay
