Summer is about getting outside in the fresh air and sunshine while having fun with the ones you love. Due Covid19 we are unable to hold our annual community picnic so we are doing the next best thing, we are bringing the picnic to you!
With the help of the Steve Stricker Foundation, Aspire Therapy & Development Services, Achieving Collaborative Treatment, CI Pediatric Therapy Centers, Nancy Alar and Jenn Moore we are able to provide 50 picnic baskets full of snacks and surprises for any individual or family affected by autism in our service area (only 1 basket per household). If you would like to participate submit the registration form below. Baskets will be available on a first come first serve basis. Registration is open now until August 14th . Baskets will be delivered the week of August 17th.
The safety of our community is our first concern so we will be using proper safety precautions in the handling and delivering of the baskets. All items will be sanitized before they go into the basket. The baskets will be delivered by volunteers wearing a mask and will be left on front porches to ensure a no contact delivery.
We know this year has been especially difficult for those affected by autism and we hope this brings a little joy to your summer. We’d love to see pictures of you and your social distancing crew enjoying the basket! Please post pictures on social media using the hashtag #AutismCommunityPicnicHomeEdition
