Madison AUsome Social Group: See and Learn about Live Birds of Prey
February 22, 2020 @ 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Dianne Moller, founder of Hoo’s Woods Raptor Center will come to the Lussier Center with a bald eagle and several other raptors (hawks and/or owls)! We will be able to see these beautiful birds up close. Dianne will teach us about the behaviors of these birds of prey, how changes to the environment affect their survival, and what we can do to help them. The program will last about an hour. Afterwards we will go to a local restaurant (McDonald’s at 2051 W Broadway, Monona) for a snack.
Important Items and Sensory Issues:
- This activity is open to the public so there will be other attendees there.
- Try to arrive on time. If you come in late, you may miss part of the program.
- Feel free to leave early if you need to.
- Join us at McDonald’s afterward if you want to
There will be 2 opportunities to participate in this activity a week apart in 2 different locations and times. Cheryl Scholler and the AUsome Social Group from Janesville, WI will be seeing this same program a week earlier at the Milton Public Library, 430 E High Street, Suite 100, in Milton, WI on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 1 – 2 pm. So if one time doesn’t work for you, you might be able to make the other one.
