Sensory Friendly Halloween Party and Accessible Vaccine Clinic

Join us as we partner with the Madison Children’s Museum for a sensory-friendly Halloween party and SSM Health for a free vaccine clinic!

This event aims to bring families together to learn through play in an environment that supports the unique needs of children with Autism and/or sensory challenges. Everyone is welcome to wear Halloween Costumes (although they are not required) and trick or treat at various indoor and outdoor stations throughout the museum!

During this event, SSM Health will provide a free vaccine clinic for children with sensory needs, siblings, and their parents. (children ages 5 and up). Vaccines will be provided by medical providers who specialize in administering them to children with sensory processing challenges or a fear of needles. Accessible vaccine kits, sensory fidgets, and communication boards will be available to support participants as well.

Each person who wants to receive a vaccine may register for a fifteen-minute session (vaccinators can take families as a group at the museum, but they must each register separately). The clinic will accept all types of health insurance, and will provide vaccines free of charge to those without insurance. Please click the registration link below for details on available vaccines. The vaccine clinic will run from 4:30-6:45pm.

A variety of food and beverages, including entrees and snacks, will be available at the Lunchbox, the MCM pay what you can cafe. Visitors may also bring their own food.
Sensory-Friendly Halloween and the vaccine clinic are free for everyone, but pre-registration is requested.

Parking:

Madison Children’s Museum does not have attached parking. There are two parking ramps located within easy walking distance of the museum and several areas of on-street metered parking.
